Houses for Haiti
Our family went to Spring Fling yesterday. We had so much fun! While we were there, we saw a booth called Houses for Haiti. I made these in art class and, I bought mine. Here's what it looks like.

Wow!
See that glassy surface people!
That is colored pencil and high gloss coating!
I have an awesome art teacher!

For anyone who even looks at this blog anymore, I would like to let you know that the Tollers are still alive! Shocker. Anyway It'sbeen a busy couple months filled with college, scholarships, Disneyland, musical concerts, family, and who knows what else. So I promise we will get around to putting up pictures soon. Have a wonderful day!

Pinewood Derby
Upon arrival, Don Hancock, (who ran a spectacular derby) asked if a couple of moms, including me, could be the judges. Hmmm...why not. Life got a little tough when Charlie started to win a lot of the races. I really didn't want to look biased.
Charlie won the award for the "Sleekest Paint Job."
Neck and Neck! One of those cars is Charlie's in one of the final races. I'm pretty sure I made the other two mothers call this one!

On the Road Again
A new road was just opened connecting Ocotillo Ridge Elementary school to the Del Lago neighborhood. Previously, there was only one road leading to the school, which made for huge traffic congestion, and a dangerous commute for students. Last Friday there was a ribbon cutting opening the new road. Principal Chesebrough invited the whole school to come. As a member of Site Council, I was invited to help cut the ribbon. It was a great celebration for everyone! I love the picture above of all the kids walking back up to the school.Monday, January 4, 2010
